EGYPTAIR celebrates 85 years since operating its first flight to Cyprus

EGYPTAIR launched its 85 Year Celebrations together with AIRTRANS, its Representative in Cyprus, with a Cocktail Event at Hilton Cyprus in the presence of Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Cyprus, Ms. Mai Taha Khalil, Travel Agents, Partners and Distinguished Guests. Her Excellency also stressed that Egypt is a very attractive and growing holiday destination for tourists worldwide, and welcomed in this context Cypriot holiday-seekers to visit Egypt and enjoy its rich diversity of touristic services. Ambassador Khalil also mentioned that touristic bookings in Egypt are expected to triple in the coming year, mainly due to newly touristic packages and excursions, as well as the opening of Egypt’s Grand Museum that will house more than 100 thousand Ancient Egyptian artifacts.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Ingi Abdelsalam, District Manager for EGYPTAIR Greece & Cyprus, and Mr. Andreas Charalambous Managing Director, AIRTRANS Group, said:  “Cyprus is a very important market for EGYPTAIR and we remain committed to the market offering high-quality services, and a wide network via Cairo reaching 70 non-stop destinations and more than 1300 airports in 191 countries through Star Alliance.
